Le plage de Compo, located in the Compo Beach area of Westport, CT, was designed with a whimsical French flair combined with Compo Beach coastal charm.
Inspired by the family’s love for the water and their passion for philanthropy, the home has become a gathering place for fundraising events as well as frequent family gatherings.
D2 Interieurs designed this home with a French farmhouse-meets-beach house aesthetic. The home captures both playful and sophisticated elements with a distinctive French flair. The open floor plan was a key design feature, ensuring that every room seamlessly flows into the next while maintaining its own unique personality
The entry level, with its open floor plan and unexpected whimsy, houses the more formal areas. In the dining room, one of the clients favorite pieces (and ours!) is the Tord Boontje Blossom Swarovski Chandelier, which plays beautifully with the D2 custom designed table, leather rug, geometric fabric chairs and the perfect piece of art by Gee Gee Collins.
Up the ombre carpeted stairs, is the primary suite which serves as a true retreat to the homeowners hectic lives. Every detail was taken into consideration from the decadent fur rug, custom upholstered bed to the tie dyed window treatments.
The living room, with its custom D2 Pool Rug, captures the essence of free-flowing water, mirroring the nearby beach and creating a hip, sophisticated area for the adults.
The back of the home serves as the more casual living space. The bold kitchen, adorned with a neon sign “Kiss the Cook” opens into the colorful family room and incredible backyard oasis.
Kids’ spaces are thoughtfully designed, with custom bunk beds in the boy's room maximizing play area.
For a special little girl, D2 created a nursery with a whimsical purple haze wall mural, a custom daybed, and a lucite crib, making it memorable yet easy to transition as she grows.
